About & how to play
Stadium Spotter is a daily college football geography game. Every day you get three stadium photos with team names and logos blurred out. Your job is to find each one on a map of the United States.
How to play
- Study the photo. Tap it to see it bigger. Look for clues like the shape of the stands, the skyline, mountains, water, or the color of the turf.
- Zoom and drag the map, then tap where you think the stadium is. You can drag your pin to adjust it.
- Press Lock in guess. The real location appears with a line showing how far off you were.
- Do this for all three stadiums, then copy your result to share it.
Scoring
Each stadium is worth up to 1,000 points, so a perfect day is 3,000. Points drop smoothly the farther your pin lands from the stadium:
| Miles away | Points |
|---|---|
| 0 | 1,000 |
| 10 | 936 |
| 25 | 846 |
| 50 | 717 |
| 100 | 513 |
| 250 | 189 |
| 500 | 36 |
Your shareable result uses colored squares: ๐ฉ under 25 miles, ๐จ under 100 miles, ๐ง under 300 miles, and ๐ฅ for anything farther.
New game every day
Everyone gets the same three stadiums each day, and a new game starts at midnight in your time zone. Play on consecutive days to build your streak.
Finished early? Press Keep playing for unlimited practice rounds with random stadiums. Practice rounds don't affect your daily score or streak.
The photos
Stadium photos come from Wikimedia Commons, shared by photographers under Creative Commons licenses. Each photographer is credited when the stadium is revealed and in the photo credits list on the game page. Blurred boxes were added to hide team names and logos.
